Saraswatichandra is an Indian soap opera which airs on Star Plus & DD1. The series premiered on February 25, 2013.
The story is based on the famous Gujarati novel Saraswatichandra written by Govardhanram Tripathi and the show is created by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
The protagonists of the show are portrayed by Gautam Rode and Jennifer Winget. On February 14, 2013, the exclusive premiere trailer of the show was aired as a Valentine's Day special on the Star Plus Facebook page. The show is quite a big hit in the U.K. and often gets good TRPs per week, making it a big grosser for Star Plus in India and U.K..

This is the poignant love story of Saraswatichandra, a modern but traditional man living in Dubai with his rich father, he deeply loves his late mother Saraswati and to be wife Kumud Sundari Desai.
Saras's mom had committed suicide by drowning in a river when Saras was a kid and this has created a traumatised frame of mind for him.
Till now, the protagonists of the show, Saras and Kumud are madly in love with each other but still not accepting it in front of each other. Fans are eagerly waiting for the marriage ceremony of the two, overcoming the conspiracies by the step mom of Sarswatichandra.
