Sunny Sohal says Harbhajan didnt slap Sreesanth

Two players were seen consoling the tearful Sreesanth when the 'controversial slap case' happened. One was fast bowler VRV Singh and the other young hard-hitting batsman Sunny Sohal.

With Sreesanth raking up the issue once again via a tweeting spree, terming Harbhajan Singh as a 'backstabber', Sohal came in defence of the Indian off-spinner.

Sohal who was nearest to Sreesanth when the incident took place five years back categorically said that neither did Harbhajan slap the fast bowler nor did he elbow him as has been claimed.

"Bhajji paaji didn't slap him. There was something that he (Harbhajan) said, which I don't know. After which Sreesanth suddenly started crying to our utter surprise and then we (VRV Singh and Sohal) went towards Sreesanth to console him but he was inconsolable at that time," Sohal shared.

"He (Sreesanth) kept on saying after the incident mere saath galat hua hai, mere saath galat hua hai (Something wrong has happened to me) but he refused to share further details with us (VRV Singh and Sohal), when we asked him about what had happened to him. So we left it there," added Sohal.

Harbhajan, who was the captain of the Mumbai Indians team at that time, was banned from the tournament after the incident. Now with Sreesanth making fresh claims, it's definitely not the last we have heard on that incident.

I want to know from Mr. Sohal that why didn't he declared this earlier when the whole controversy was so lit up and when Harbhajan got seized from the rest of the tournament?
