Dhoni lodges complaint to BCCI against Gambhir attitude on the cricket field.
A report on Cricketnext, a cricket portal stated that an Indian player had informed their website that the skipper was disappointed with Gambhir's attitude since he has been concentrating on his personal records, prompting him to lodge a complaint against him."Of late Gambhir has gone into a shell and focusing on just to save his place in the team. His prolonged poor form has resulted in low self-esteem and he's cut off from other issues pertaining to the team," the player was quoted as saying by Cricketnext.
It was quite evident that Gambhir was self-centered with the way he played in the Eden Test, resulting in two run-outs (Sehwag and Pujara) in the first and the second innings respectively. His 142-ball 65 in the second Test at Wankhede was also quite evident that he just played to get a half century while the entire team failed, as they were bundled for 142 in the second innings of Mumbai Test.
Similarly in the third Test, with 60 and 40 in both the innings, the opener ensured that he played safe but was involved in dismissing Sehwag and Cheteshwar Pujara respectively on both occasions. This attitude of Gambhir did not go well with Dhoni."But what irked Dhoni was Gambhir playing for himself and not for the team. It was evident in the way Gambhir batted in the second innings of the Mumbai Test that he was more interested in carrying his bat by remaining not out, rather than shielding the tailenders and scoring quick runs," the player was quoted as saying. source:- google and other news site
